TIBA'A Creative Printmaking Conference: Oasis

During my graphic design internship with TIBA’A, I worked on the visual production for Oasis, the second Creative Printmaking Conference in Kuwait. The program was inaugurated by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters at the Museum of Modern Art on January 6, 2025, and ran through January 18 with workshops, lectures, meetings, and a final exhibition around contemporary and traditional printmaking.

The conference sat inside NCCAL’s “Kuwait Creates” cultural direction and treated printmaking as both heritage and living practice. Across the event, the program brought together engraving, lithography, digital print, mixed media, references to Dilmun seals, and artists, lecturers, and specialists from Kuwait, the Gulf, the United States, and RISD.

My role focused on the communication system around the event. I designed and assisted with bilingual schedules, lecture posts, launch graphics, information posts, and production support for the catalogue and brochure. Because the system had to work across Instagram, print, the conference schedule, and institutional partners, the graphics needed to stay clear and flexible while still carrying the scale of the event.

Scope: social media posts, bilingual schedules, conference information graphics, and catalogue/brochure assistance.
