A handful of studies from Drawing 1: live portraits drawn from a sitting model, focused exercises on eyes and expression, and timed cross-contour studies of the still life set up at the front of the room.

Most of these are time-bound, twenty minutes, sometimes less, which kept the work honest. There’s no room to fix or polish; the only useful skill in that setting is looking, and looking again.
