The first 3D design project: build a paper relief that demonstrates the principles of design, rhythm, balance, contrast, hierarchy, using nothing but folded, cut, and stacked paper.
Working in white-on-white forces every decision to land on light and shadow. The composition exists for as long as the lamp is in the right place; the rest of the time it’s just an interesting piece of paper.
